For decades, there has been limited accessible, evidence-based information on the legal and historical context of Somaliland. This has contributed to misunderstandings and a lack of clarity at the international level.

The absence of clear, structured documentation has affected how Somaliland is understood globally, including its legal history, past events, and humanitarian impact on its population.

Our work addresses this gap by conducting independent research, working with legal experts, and developing evidence-based reports that document historical records, legal questions, and verified information.

By making this research available, we support a more accurate understanding of Somaliland and contribute to informed discussion at international level. This benefits both the global community, through access to credible information, and Somaliland communities, by ensuring their history and experiences are properly documented and understood.
